This RHD 1986 Unimog U1300L/37 16 seater expedition bus has been converted to a temporary camper and was recently sold to a new owner in Sydney. The new owner will continue the conversion of this purpose built touring vehicle to a go-anywhere camper. The previous owner completed a major overhaul of the running gear, started on a restoration of the cab and sold this vehicle to purchase another already completed Unimog camper. This vehicle, with its OM352A 5.7 litre turbo-diesel, 8 speed gearbox, long wheelbase and fast axles cruises comfortably at 90-95kph. Overall fuel consumption is 18-20 litres per 100km. |
